In 1880 Georg Völkl founded the company in Straubing, Germany. Völkl introduced its’ first tennis racquet in the summer of 1972. This racquet, the Zebra, was the first full composite tennis racquet on the market. Since then Völkl have developed into a well established brand, providing equipment for a range of sports.
