Stan The Man Reigns Supreme
World No. 4 Stan Wawrinka blazed past Albert Ramos-Vinolas in straight sets to secure his place in the Roland Garros semifinals.
His title defense remains strong, winning three of his five matches in straight sets. Stan The Man made an explosive entrance, dominating in the first two sets. The Swiss packed his shots with potent power, clocking in eight aces and 49 winners throughout the match. In addition to his crushing power, Wawrinka was also keen at net, leaving the Spaniard without any answers.
"I hit the ball heavy. Then I was able to get into the court and vary the pace," commented Stan on the official ATP World Tour Website.
Even when Ramos-Vinolas tried to force a fourth set, Stan remained vigilant, getting the edge over his opponent in the concluding tiebreaker. The match finished with a final score of 6-2, 6-1, 7-6 (7).
Stan faces Andy Murray next. The Lausanne native has won in his last three encounters with Murray in straight sets.

All England Tournament History
The world's oldest and most prestigious badminton tournament, which was first held in Guildford in 1898. In the beginning only three categories were staged - Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles - with singles categories added the following year.
During these first two tournaments, which would become an annual tradition, it was named "Badminton Association Tournament". It was eventually considered the unofficial World Badminton Championships until 1977, at which time the International Badminton Federation launched its official championships.
During its course the championships have only been halted twice - once during World War I from 1915 to 1919, and then again during World War II from 1940 to 1946.
1984 was the year when the tournament became exclusively sponsored by Yonex, a partnership which endures to the present day.

Aus Open 2016 - Lleyton Plays His Final Match
January 21st, 2016 marked Lleyton Hewitt's final competitive singles match of his career, at his favorite tournament - the Australian Open. The celebrated tennis Legend competed using a special Yonex racquet designed in the motif of the Australian national flag, along with shoes and wristbands to match.
This year marked his 20th consecutive appearance at the tournament, with his family watching him from his box. Playing against David Ferrer, the match proved to be an emotional affair that lasted over two hours. The Australian tennis icon fought with all his might, successes greeted with enthusiastic cheers from the local crowd.
Lleyton offered some words to the emotional audience at the end of the match, "I came out and gave everything I had like always. I left nothing in the locker room. That's something I can always be proud of. My whole career I've always given 100 per cent. I love coming out here and competing. It's never hard to come out playing in front of such great spectators every time I play out here on Rod Laver Arena. It's like a second home for me and I'm just so fortunate to have this opportunity 20 years in a row."
The match was concluded with a video tribute by many of Hewitt's fellow pro players, with best wishes for the future and admiration of a long and successful career.
Lleyton won two Grand Slam titles at the US Open and Wimbledon in 2001 and 2002 respectively, and became the youngest World No. 1 in men's singles ever at 20 years old and 9 months.
BBC Sports Personality of the Year
Congratulations to Andy Murray, after being crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2015! A well deserved win for the world number 2, who was the champion of the Davis Cup this year; the first time in 79 years that Great Britain has achieved the title.
Murray is only the fourth person to win the BBC award twice, after first winning in 2013. He looks forward to an exciting 2016, when he will attempt to defend his Olympic title, aim for another Grand Slam triumph, and become a father!
