The Yonex VCORE 98L is the 8th generation of the lightweight performance frame within the VCORE series. Designed for intermediate players, rising juniors, and competitive athletes who prefer a faster, more manoeuvrable setup, the 2026 model adopts the Ruby Red aesthetic and emphasises the new Spin Access Granted slogan.
Key Improvements: – Enlarged Top Frame: The frame is wider at the 2 and 10 o’clock positions, which expands the contact area. This creates a higher launch angle and more consistent spin even on off-center hits. – Refined ISOMETRIC™ Shape: Yonex’s signature square-head design has been further optimised to produce the largest sweet spot in Vcore history, offering more effective hitting area than round frames. – Silicon Oil Infused Grommets: New lubrication technology within the grommets reduces friction, allowing the strings to snap back faster for increased ball rotation (RPMs). – Servo Filter Technology: A transparent, elastic film placed between graphite layers to absorb unwanted vibrations.
