The Yonex Vcore Alpha SL is the super-lightweight entry point into the 8th-generation Vcore family. While the standard series is designed for competitive athletes, the Alpha SL is meticulously engineered for the most speed-dependent players and specifically young juniors moving to their first full-size frame or beginners who require maximum help with swing weight. Key Features: – Ultra-Lightweight Handling: At just 245g, the Alpha SL is the lightest adult-length racket in the 2026 VCORE lineup. It is designed to allow players with slower swing speeds to generate the racket head speed needed for modern spin. Â –Â 16×18 String Pattern: Unlike the 16×19 found on the performance models, the Alpha SL uses a more open 16×18 pattern. This provides more bite on the ball and a higher trajectory, making it easier to clear the net with depth. Â –Â Head Heavy balance: To compensate for its light weight, Yonex has shifted the balance point toward the head (340mm). This ensures the racket has enough “plough-through” to remain stable and provide power when meeting the ball. Â –Â Nanomesh Neo: This frame utilises Nanomesh Neo technology, which enhances frame flexibility. This allows the racket to “snap back” more easily at impact, providing a boost in power for players who don’t have as full or fast swings. Â –Â Servo Filter & VDM: Comfort is a priority for the Alpha SL.
